In respond to the United Nations declaration as 2005 year of sports and physical education, the Sport Equilibre Foundation, co-founded by Stéphane Barras and based in Crans-Montana - Switzerland, decide to join forces and did organize during the Swiss Comptoir Festival in september the same year the sport4development week .
During 10 days we brought under the same umbrella, variouse organizations, foundations and initiatives using sports as social benefits. Then later in 2006 we handed the Sportd4award to Mister Adolf Ogi UN Sport Secretary in recognation for all his effort for sport development achievements. (see above picture)
